ACCUZYME & PANAFIL

These two debriding agents were sold as a pair for non-surgical debridement. Problem: healthcare professionals were hesitant to start the process with Accuzyme due to a perception of patient pain, and went straight to Panafil instead for milder debridement and tissue regrowth. Efficacy issues with Accuzyme began to concern the manufacturer; cost issues affected hospitals. The approach? To break them apart, promote Accuzyme as the bold first step to healing, and Panafil as the nurturing next-step.
